Jason W. Grooters

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Jason Grooters holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at New Republic Bank. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s accounting and reporting activities across all business lines. Jason leads initiatives to assess accounting and tax implications for significant business decisions, in addition to managing internal financial audit and compliance activities.

Bringing a wealth of expertise in corporate finance, public accounting, business operations, and multi-family office administration, Jason is a key member of the firm’s executive strategic planning team.

Before joining New Republic Partners, Jason served as the Chief Accounting Officer for First Citizens Bancshares. In this capacity, he oversaw all accounting functions, collaborated with the Chief Financial Officer on accounting and tax implications for significant business decisions, and led tax and compliance strategy. Additionally, he acted as a liaison to the company’s external auditing firm, SEC, and other regulators.

Jason's experience also includes serving as a partner at Eton Solutions, where he held the role of Director of Reporting and Operations. In this position, he managed daily operations and client reporting requirements, overseeing hedge fund administration for five funds. Jason was responsible for all financial and compliance reporting for the funds.

A graduate of Philadelphia University with a B.S. in Business, Jason earned his Master of Accounting from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Jason is actively involved in community service. He currently serves on the board of directors and chairs the capital campaign for Haven House Services, a nonprofit dedicated to serving youth in Raleigh, North Carolina.
